Ruth Von Wiesenthal Dies At 95

Ruth von Wiesenthal passed Nov. 16 at the age of 95. A New York native, she and her late husband, Peter von Wiesenthal, were involved in the breeding and racing of thoroughbreds at their Snowberry Farm. Together they bred and/or raced the following horses: Move It Now (Timeless Moment), Lilly's Moment (Timeless Moment), Au Point (Lyphard), Concord Hymn (Giboulee), as well as being part of 1993 GI Belmont S. winner Colonial Affair's ownership group.

She is survived by two children, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Donations can be made in her name to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation.
